I am so thankful I know Jesus...
This world seriously offers nothing but one giant heart break. There is so much disappointment in the world, but I know that Jesus, or true love, has the best plan for me. This world offers disappointment, but Jesus offers love that can overpower any darkness in the world. I do not know what I would do without his Grace... I don't even know if I'd be alive still. If I lost everything, but had Him, I would be just fine. He is my best friend, and I would be so lost if I did not know Him...
Mood: Loved.
Song: The Fray - You Found Me.
Emotion: Sleepy.
Currently: Going to bed! :)

Night Owl.
I have been staying up way too late the past few days. It has my sleep pattern so crazy right now. I need to start forcing myself to go to bed at a decent time! I like to have productive days...haha.
I've been thinking of dropping a lot of things, and trying to skate more. I miss skating so much. I miss hanging out with friends, filming, cruising, learning tricks, everything. I miss it all! Skateboarding was my life, and I really want to keep it that way. Of Course I need to keep my priorities in front, but I don't have a girlfriend to worry about, or parents to deal with, or really anything of that sort anymore. I just have to do it now...haha.
I'm also glad I switched back to blogspot. Just saying.
Good night.

Good night.
A musician beginning.
My first song.
I wrote my first song this morning. I want to practice it and everything before I record it. It’s kind of a good feeling to write your own song. I wrote a rap once, lol. Never did anything with that. I wrote it off of a specific person in my life. Out of all the relationships that I have in my life, I chose this specific person because they’re going through the exact same thing I struggled with, the past. It was nice to get a pen and throw down the words onto paper. I think this song can really influence anybody who struggles with past regrets or past situations that come back once in awhile and knock us over. I know I had problems with it. Writing and Music have been the two ways I’ve been expressing myself lately. I kind of have been having trust issues with humans lately, so I keep it to myself, and Christ only. I’m praying for a change in that though. Anyhow, I think I’ll post the lyrics for you to peep. You can leave feedback, or anything for that matter. Thanks!
I think I’ll call it “You’re Loved”.
It goes something like this…
I know your past was abused,
And present day, you’re left confused.
But I know who you really are,
Cause I can see into your heart.
You’re loved, You’re loved, You’re loved by Him. (x2)
I know you struggle with your past,
Live for now, Cause life moves fast.
Seek the Lord, and know His grace,
Cause He’ll bring a smile upon your face.
You’re loved, You’re loved, You’re loved by Him. (x2)
Life throws curves, and pain it brings.
But I know you’ll do Great things.
I see his face, with open arms.
Fall right in, you won’t be harmed.
You’re loved, You’re loved, You’re loved by Him. (x2)

UPDATE!
Slacking again on not updating. I know I know. School and work have been kicking my butt! Anyhow, there are a couple of updates and recent events going on! I am very stoked to inform you that TIOC (This Is Our Calling) Skateboard Ministry will be launching soon! The website will be www.thisisourcalling.com. I will inform you when that is available. Keep the ministry in your prayers.
I also have a twitter now. I never thought I would give in to them, but I did. Guilty as charged! I felt it was a good way to stay connected with the community as far the the new ministry goes.
That's really all. I am having deezle, joel, and a few other dudes from Michigan tomorrow for skateboarding on Friday. They are coming up from 4 hours South East to come skate with us. Expect photos and perhaps an edit from it! I am so excited and cannot wait!
To finish this slightly random post, I will leave you with three videos.
Hope you are doing well!

Wirth Park
Went out skating with a bunch of guys last night. No really severe injuries, which is good. Was able to collect a little bit of footage and really just cruise around and have fun with some dudes. Andrew shot a new photo of me. It's not an incredible trick but his photos make any trick look tight. It's a frontboard pop out.

Also, after we finished skating I was able to put the Wirth edit together.
I'll be working on the street edit the next couple days, so that should be good.
That's really all for this post.
God Bless!

Once Again...back!
Well, as you can see, I haven't updated this since before Summer Time! I have had a lot of awesome things happen to me this summer, most good, few bad, but I am still here! Just kind of an update on what has been going on. I moved out of my parents into a house with 3 other dudes from Church, it's super rad and I love it. I am back in school full time, and I now am a Manager at Cousins where I work close to if not full time. Basically I have just been doing what I can, skating and filming when I can. It's for sure been a journey, but I wanted to start updating this again. This post is going to be pretty uneventful but I have three different edits I am going to start making pretty quick here. For you I leave you with a photo or two. Credit still and will always go to Andrew Murphy for the photos!

Back 180 over the rail. Andrew got a fish eye and he is getting really good at it.

This photo is my favorite right now. This front lip was pretty sketchy because there was a storm probably 2 minutes from us. As soon as we got into the car it started raining so hard we had to pull over. It was pretty gnarley.
To see me photos by Andrew Murphy as well as see some sick skating i the area, check out www.mkeskate.com.

Weekend O' Fun
This past weekend I went skating with Andrew and a few other dudes in Milwaukee. We got a little footage of Andrew and I got a clip but it wasn't anything too special. I would put some screen shots up but I wasn't filming with my camera and I forgot to capture the footy onto my computer but I should get those clips soon enough and post them. For now, here are a few photos that Andrew took.

Tailslide in Milwaukee

Another tailslide shot

And this one is probably my favorite photo. We lit up Wirth for a few hours and he shot this silhouette photo of my backside flip. It's so rad.
That's really all for the weekend. I hope you all had a Happy Easter. Jesus rose!

I'm alive!
Well, it has officially been 2 months since i have jumped on this thing. All apologize. I kind of forgot about it, and then got a little bit lazy. I just wanted to say that I have still been filming, and recently for my birthday, i got a digital camera and have been shooting photos again! So it will be cool to get more edits and photos up in the next few days! For now, here is a long lens edit from wirth this morning, and a couple photos!
Also, this is Josh doing a backtail.

I will try and get back on this thing, okay? thanks for the patience!!

The Goal
I title today's blog as "The Goal" because of a Sermon I heard last night that really changed the way I think about a lot of things. In John McArthur's sermon, he talks about the goal of a Christian in life, is pursuing Christ-Likeness. What that means, is that we are to be like Christ, and through out our lives, we are to make that likeness grow. Why it has impacted me, is because growing with Christ, creates many aspects to develop, such as evangelism and relationships. It answers the question about how to stop certain things, like temptation, sin, and trials. Being more Christ-like, allows us to be able to deal with certain things such as trials and temptation, as well as work on certain things, like what to say, being evangelistic, and what not. I feel that striving to be more Christ-like will help me grow in so many ways, and allow me to cope with problems i have better, as well as learn new ways to help people know Jesus. I wanted to share this, because it really helps me see why trusting in God is so important.
Before this serman, Josh Bayless and I skated Four Seasons, had a blast, got some footage, and now I made an edit, so here it is!

Some footage!
Well, I'm not sure if I made a post about this or not, but about a month ago, I had to pack some things for a bit of confidential reasons, but one thing I packed was my camera lens in a folded t-shirt. A month or so later, after I thought I had lost it, I opened my dresser, grabbed a shirt, unfolded it, and there it was! I was so stoked! Edits can be made again, so expect some soon!
I did make a new edit already however. This is the last little bit of street footage I had from 2009, so I decided to use it. It's got Thomas Bato, Vince Stranc, Noah Staller, Mike Bahr, and Kyle Seppala in it!
I will keep you posted on the camera situation. Something fell through, and we are taking a gander at something else!

Focus
Well, I have realized that I have been so focused on myself, that it has made me unhappy. I need to start remembering to go about my life as if I was working for God, which is sometimes hard to do.
I may be getting a camera from one of my super good friends, Peter. (www.petermader.blogspot.com) So I will have the ability to take more pictures for fun! I cannot wait! It's going to be great!
This post is kind of pointless, but I try to do one every day, so i will post a few random pictures I found on my computer.

Kyle Seppala on a daily basis.

I basically ran out of gas as i pulled into a parking spot for the skate shop. Brian and Alex happened to get free soda from the pool for helping them, and they were generous enough to sell some for gas. They made 15 bucks I think!

And lastly, Mike Bahr was watching for people while trying to bigflip the big 2 at cream city skatepark (www.creamcityskatepark.com), which he successfully landed, but I thought this was a funny screen grab. Mike Bahr - Muggin.

It's Been Awhile.
I have not been keeping this posted. Not at all. haha. Life has been so busy for me. I suppose I should fill you in on what has been going on.
The skateshop that has made me realize so many different aspects in my life, Wreckless Skateshop, shut down after Christmas because they didn't get enough sales to stay open. It bummed me out for awhile, and it also took away my job. Thankfully I was able to get another job before the shop shut down. Now I work at Cousins subs, which isn't my ideal job, but atleast I have a job. It's overwhelming right now, since i'm training in a fast paced atmosphere, but I'm sure it will become easier. I have been on Holiday break from school as well. I start my second semester the 18th of this month. I can't wait for the fresh start. It's going to be great. Other than that, I have been just trying to stay focused!
I'm thinking of starting up photography again. I don't have an amazing camera, but maybe someday. We will see. To finalize this post, I will share a video, and a photo or two from recent.
I hope that you all had a great Christmas and a Great New Year!
This video was from a garage session winter of 2008-2009. I don't remember talking in the camera, haha.

This is Roy, Allie and I's fish! Allie bought him for me for my 18th birthday, so he is almost a year old! We decided to upgrade his bowl, to something a bit more classy!

This is a photo my buddy David edited with photo shop. I found this on my computer, haha. So awesome.

And lastly, this is a photo my best friend Andrew Murphy took of me at Cream City Skate park. This is my favorite photo. He has gotten so good!! That's a nose grinder.
