Clip of the week.

Well, i have been sick for the past few days, so i have not been skating too much. While relaxing at home, i did manage to learn how to use adobe after effects just a little bit. Below is a clip i edited using the ramp slow-mo effect. It isn't the best, but i'm sure with practice they will become better! Tomorrow i'll post the new horeb edit i made. Make www.wrecklessskateshop.webs.com your default homepage, and keep yourselves checking it all the time because it's going to start having daily updates! Heres that clip!

Gnarley!

The back is doing much better thankfully and I am now able to cruise around and skate! Hey guys, pray for Wreckless Skateshop. They are taking a super rough hit since the economy is so terrible, especially in the skate world. Pray we can either get through or we be calm if we were to go under.

Also, check out my friends blogspot. He is real big into Videography, and so many of his posts are sick edits and what not. www.larkfilms.blogspot.com

One of my super good friends and brother in Christ, Don Prophet, is having a concert this friday with UnderFive and Eric Cross. Everyone should come and support!

God is good, skateboarding is good, school is fine, and guitar is coming along! haha. I am blown away by this users YouTube Channel. Go and visit it, and find the video "Boards in Egypt" and watch that! God Bless!

Rest in the Lord

Well, I have been out of commisson as far as skateboarding goes with a strained lower back. That's an injury that should not be messed with. In the mean time, I have just been getting my life kind of organized, you know how that goes. I have also been reading the Word a lot and studying. I just finished the book of Philippians and a lot stood out for me.

For example, I have a study bible, and it talks about the Three Perfection Stages. The first one is Perfect Relationship, which is when we identify Jesus as the Lord and Savior, and are righteous through God because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. The second is Perfect Growth, which is when we work on growing in the Faith through studying and what not. And lastly, Perfect Completeness, which is when Jesus comes back to take his children to his Kingdom.

I thought that was pretty cool, how us as Humans are not perfect, but through the Lord, it sets a good guideline!

Anyhow, I have also been getting in to music a lot more. Right now I'm hooked on Pro Skateboarder Josh Harmony's music. You should go check that out at www.myspace.com/joshharmonymusic! It's really good!

There is a huge sale still going on at wreckless, so be sure to come and check that out! For those who don't know, all shoes are 40% off, hats are 40% off, wheels are 27 bucks, decks are 42 bucks with grip, t shirts are only 12.99, and we are having an Indy truck sale in the 30's depending on what size. So come support your local skate shop!

That's really it for now. I didn't get much footage of RipNIt due to my back, but a lot of gnarley stuff went down!

Until next time.....

Update and skater of the day!

Lately I have been trying to do a lot of different things all at once! I have been trying to get the skateshop back on it's feet again, doing anything I can to make people appreciate the shop more. I have been trying to stay focused on school work and continue to get my work done. I have been trying to get out there and skate, learn new tricks, get some footage, and have a great time. I have been trying to get the Foolishness video Premier this Sunday, november 8th out there! (come check us out!) as well as the Rip'N'It Skate Ministry! (www.myspace.com/ripnitskateboarding). Most importantly, I have been focusing on the Lord, trying to grow with him more and more each day! God is Good!

Now, for that Skater (should say skaters) of the day!

God Bless!

Slow

Well, things have been pretty slow this week. It was Vinny's birthday yesterday, so we hung out at Qdoba late at night, it was a good time. He came in with a gnarley fake mustache and the gnarliest bum hat/ flannel. Dude was fitted for real! haha. Besides that occurance, all i have been doing is studying for mid terms and what not. I guess for your entertainment, I will leave some screen shots. Call me an Eicher style biter, it's all good haha. God bless!

I finally got a adapter for my wide angle, hyped on that. using it tonight at seasons!

MikeBahr has never held a VX before, so dude was hyped.

Noah was telling me to shoe away...with his shoe.

Look at how tweaked Nick Weiss's Krook is....wow.

I saw some lightening, so I filmed Brian walking back to where he was trying his trick in hope for lightening to strike, and it did!

And lastly but certainly not least...

Alex "Darnkess" Rodriguez.

Until next time....

Video part of the Week

I have no caption for this video. One word: FUN!

Something you rarely see.

In today's section, I am going to show you two videos that you NEVER see. The edits were both filmed by me with my new lense. The downside is that I do not yet have an adapter, which is only 5 bucks, but I don't have it yet. If anyone has seen the Ryan Taylor film ReProduce it, almost the entire video was filmed without an adapter, holding the lense to the camera manually. I had to do this for these edits so it looks a little weird haha. Anyways....the two videos are:

Footage of Nick Weiss....never...

and

Footage of Kyle Seppala (The Robot) falling....continueously...

ENJOY!

This has been a dream of mine.

These guys are probably the gnarliest dudes in the skateboarding world. I cannot believe how amazing these guys are, and they all do it for Jesus! Peep this video. It is incredible.

P/S: I just bought a wide angle lense for my camera, hypes me up! Haha. Just need an adapter for it. But here is that video!

Video part of the Week

I don't understand this guy. Besides the fact he is crazy in general, some of the tricks he does not make sense. Fakie Hardflip switch front 5-0?? Enjoy... and then after you watch this, go to www.wrecklessskateshop.webs.com and advertise!

Foolishness 09!

SkateBible has made a full length skate video and you can now pre-order it for 15.99 (19.99 after shipping and handling!) It is going to be an awesome video. I spoke with Brian Sumner a little bit on how it was being edited, and it was edited by three people at a kitchen table! Don't let that make you think the editing will not be good, I'm sure it will, but that just shoes that their main focus is on sharing the Gospel, and not so much on the entertainment, though it will be very entertaining. Be sure to Pre-order a copy of this video because it's going to be extremely rad! You can pre-order it at:

Inspiration?

We all need a little bit of that these days, hey? haha.

1 Peter 5:7:
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Psalm 18:1:
" I love you, O' Lord, My Strength!"

What these two pieces of scripture is saying, is that Jesus Christ is our Strength. He gives us the will to be strong every single day, and when anxiety is getting to us, and is trying to make us weak, he is there to take it all away and be our strength, because He cares for us, and He loves us.

Isn't that awesome? It's so nice to be able to wake up knowing that God is going to carry me through the day and protect me!

Awesome stuff! On another note, I suppose I will post this here video part of me. This is my part from Ryan Taylor's "Reproduce It!". We are working on "Threeproduce It!" as you are reading this, except it will be Ryan Taylor and Chris Eichers project! To check out some of Chris's fun times, view: www.larkfilms.blogspot.com! He has some gnarley things up there already, and always more to come!

Anyhow, here is that video! Enjoy!
